Hi! I'm Debbie and I design and create quality hand-crafted gemstone jewellery for spiritual self-aware women who want to wear ethical, sustainable pieces that speak to them on a vibrational level.
Drawing inspiration from Celtic designs, each piece exudes a sense of individuality. Wearing my jewellery is not just a choice; it is a statement, an outward expression of your inner soul..
Being diagnosed with ME over 17 years ago, an illness for which conventional medicine to date has no cure, I embarked on my own journey trying to understand the holistic view of health and wellbeing in an effort to explain my condition and to try to find ways to improve it.
Although no miracle cure came to light, I did find comfort and some answers along the way, as well as discovering the healing power of gemstones and sparking a lifelong passion.
My passion for gemstones shines through in every piece I create.
Working as an accountant for over 20 years, I discovered jewellery making almost by accident when I attended a ring making workshop held by one of my accountancy clients. I already loved gemstones, but silversmithing and jewellery making was new to me.. But I loved it and was HOOKED!!
Setting up my own workshop in my back bedroom, I have experimented with a number of different mediums over the years - silver/copper wire, sheet metals and silver clay - exploring different aspects of jewellery making and dialling in on my individual style. My current pieces incorporate a number of these mediums in order to achieve the look I am wanting.
SUSTAINABILITY
Environmental and ethical sustainability is very important to me - we only have one planet and we need to look after it!! In order to reduce my impact on the environment I use:
- Fully recyclable packaging with NO plastic bubble wrap!!
- Recycled jewellery boxes with natural cotton inserts
- As much as possible my silver is sourced from suppliers using 100% recycled material
- All scraps in the studio are melted down and reused
- Sourcing gemstones from ethical suppliers, ensuring that the workers are paid a fair wage
